Thank you so much to all of our families who came out to chalk the walk and to those who attended the DiPietro Dash Fun Run on Friday 10/23. We also want to send a huge SHOUT OUT to all of our PTO volunteers for making this event happen! We appreciate the effort and time our volunteers gave and we are grateful for the donations made during this event! See photos below.
We want to remind all families that there is an Early Release on Friday, October 30th. Students will be dismissed at 11:25 and lunch will be served. There is no afternoon preschool on Friday due to the early release.
Please don't forget-our Spooky Ball is also happening this Friday, 10/30-from 6:30-8:00 sponsored by our PTO. See flyer below.
The Following Information is Carried Over from Last Week As a Reminder:
- The Importance of Good School Attendance
School attendance is critical fro student academic and social success. We monitor student attendance throughout the school year and send letters to families when student attendance trends towards 10% of days absent in a given period of time. Our efforts are meant to inform families and to reduce the risk of chronic absenteeism. Chronic absenteeism is defined as any student missing 10% or more school days within a school year.
During the 25/26 school year, 43% of BPS students were at risk for chronic absenteeism, and were chronically absent. This year, we have a districtwide goal for all of our students to be at school 95% of days or more. Here is our standing after 31 days of school so far at DiPietro:
- 79% of students at DiPietro are meeting the district goal.
Overall, 72% of students in our district are meeting their goals. We are here to support and work with families in meeting this goal. Let’s keep up the good work in supporting our students to ensure regular school attendance!

- Reminder about Pets during Arrival and Dismissal
Families, even though many of us love pets, we want to remind you to keep them at home or in your cars during morning arrival and afternoon pickup. Some of our students are afraid of dogs while others have allergies. In addition, the movement of lots of students and adults can create an unpredictable and stressful environment for your pets. Thank you for your help with this.
We are so excited to partner with all of you once again this year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
